FAMILY MEDIATION
Mediated settlements that address the needs of all parties and parenting plans that acknowledge each parent's desire to remain involved in the lives of the children. Using client-centered practice in mediation, participants can reach agreements by exploring options that address the needs and interests of all involved. Parties are more likely to be satisfied and adhere to a plan they have had a hand in creating, and families benefit from having a blueprint for healthy interaction in the future.

Mediation helps people reach agreements about the issues relevant to their lives. Mediation encourages cooperation and communication and can make a family law dispute less painful for everyone, especially children. Joint problem solving reduces court involvement and can save money.

    CUSTODY EVALUATION
We provide custody evaluations that assess each parent objectively and provide recommendations in compliance with Minnesota statute 518.17. Custody evaluation is a process that involves the entire family. Parents will provide detailed information about themselves, their parenting, their child, and their proposed plan for custody and cooperation with the other parent. The evaluator will interview teachers, daycare providers, counselors, pastors and many others who know the family. A written report with recommendations about custody, parenting time and other issues will be prepared and submitted to the Court, the parties and the guardian ad litem, if there is one. For a sample contract, fee schedule and release,

    PARENTING TIME EXPEDITING
Parenting Time Expediting that resolves access disputes without continued litigation. This process assists parents with intermittent parenting time decisions and disputes. Either parent may contact the expeditor for help in resolving a dispute. The expeditor confers with both parents and any other persons who may contribute to the solution, and facilitates an agreement or renders a decision. Expediting is, by name and nature, an efficient and timely solution that minimizes conflict and promotes fairness.
